Custom Metal Fabrication

Home > Capabilities > Metal Fabrication

There are all sorts of reasons why people might need metal fabrication services. Maybe they need brackets, frames for a machine or project, or something more complex like a metal enclosure. Finding a company that can provide quality fabrication services is essential regardless of the need. Not all companies offer these services, so it’s necessary to do your research before you choose one.

But with FZE Manufacturing Solutions’ experience and expertise in metal fabrication, you can be sure that you are in the right hands.

If you’re looking for full-service machining and manufacturing for metal components, you’ve come to the right place. At FZE Manufacturing Solutions, we precision-cut, fabricate and assemble metal parts of all shapes and sizes. We can take your project from idea to reality.

What is metal fabrication?

In metal fabrication, metal structures are cut, bent, and assembled. It involves converting raw materials into machines, parts, and structures with added value. Fabrication shops construct products based on engineering drawings.

As part of the manufacturing process, the manufacturer uses a variety of value-added functions such as welding, forming, cutting, and machining. They are usually used in the construction of building frames and heavy equipment.

  • This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.

Starting with raw materials such as sheet metal, bar stock, tubing, or metal plate, FZE can provide custom metal fabrication within these parameters:

  • Material thickness must be between 0.03″ and 3″
  • Length must be at least 1″ long and no longer than 120″
  • Width must be at least ½” wide and no wider than 120″
  • Height must be at least ½” tall and no taller than 36″
  • The weight should be between 0.5 lbs. up to 2,000 lbs.

Our metal fabrication services are performed within tolerances of 1/16″ (+/-).

Common metal fabrication processes and applications

The following are some of the most common metal fabrication processes and applications:

  • Cutting: There are several types of cutting methods, including sawing, laser cutting, punching, chiseling and torching, as well as computer-controlled cutters.
  • Bending: Press brakes and similar devices are used to weld or air-bend metal sheets in modern metal manufacturing. Correct placement of bend lines was achieved by placing cut components using hard stops on CNC-controlled back gauges. CNC press brakes are simple and quick to program with offline software.
  • Assembly: In the process of assembly, welds, adhesives, rivets, threaded fasteners, or crimped seams can be used. Materials used for fabrication typically include structural steel and sheet metal, welding wire, and fasteners to join pieces.

The advantages of working with a metal fabrication manufacturer

Here are the benefits you get when you work with a metal fabrication manufacturer like us:

  • A quality product: Manufacturers in the metal fabrication industry employ cutting-edge technology to design and build products that consistently wow customers. As a bonus, metal fabricators have the know-how and skill to make what you need.
  • Cost-effective solution: Metal fabrication manufacturers often offer discounts for larger orders and may offer bulk pricing options. Metal fabrication manufacturers typically have lower overhead costs than other types of businesses, which allows them to pass those savings on to their customers.
  • Personalized services: Another advantage of working with a metal fabrication manufacturer like us is that you can usually request customization of your product’s exact size, shape, and design, allowing you to create a truly unique product. In addition, many metal fabrication manufacturers offer powder coating and other finishing options to customize your products further.
  • Fast Turnaround Times: When you work with a metal fabrication manufacturer, you can expect quick turnaround times for your orders. Metal fabrication manufacturers typically have large production facilities and experienced staff members who can produce high-quality products quickly.

We can help you with anything from small projects to large-scale manufacturing

Metal fabrication is a process that involves the cutting and shaping of metal into different objects. It can be done through various methods, including welding, fabricating, and casting. There are many reasons why people may need metal fabrication services.

Perhaps they need a new part for their car or motorcycle, they want some custom furniture made, or they need to have a machine repaired. Finding a reputable company that will do the job right if you need metal fabrication services.

At FZE Manufacturing Solutions, we have years of experience in the metal fabrication industry and always put our customers first. Contact us today to learn more about our services or to get a quote.

Arc/Resistance Welding Process

FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding)
This process uses similar equipment as GMAW but in place of standard solid wire uses wire consisting of a steel electrode surrounding a powder fill material.
GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding)
Also known as metal inert gas or MIG welding.
GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)
Also known as Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding. This process uses a nonconsumable tungsten electrode, an inert gas and a separate filler material. This process is sometimes mistakenly referred to as Heliarc welding.
MIG
Metal Inert Gas welding, also referred to as Gas Metal Arc Welding.
Spot
Spot welding is form of resistance welding used to join overlapping metal sheets. Two electrodes are used to clamp the sheets together and pass the current between them.
Stud
Stud welding is a form of Spot welding where a bolt or weld nut is welded to another metal part. The bolts are often fed automatically into the welder.
TIG
Tungsten Inert Gas welding. Also referred to as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding.
